About Us

Therapeutic by Design is a Canadian-based design company dedicated to creating state-of-the-art, luxurious, easy care treatment linens for spa environments and health care practices. Our line of treatment table linens uses high quality fabrics that have been exhaustively field-tested to make sure they stand up to the wear-and-tear of treatment room use.

Therapeutic by Design is a joint partnership between Registered Massage Therapists Jana Asman and Maggie McDowell, graduates of the West Coast College of Massage Therapy 3-Year Program. The company benefits from their 14 years of experience in the health care field.

Since graduation both women have enjoyed busy, successful practices. Jana built an accomplished home-based clinic, "Hands on the Hill Massage Therapy" on the North Shore of Vancouver. Maggie now lives in Jasper, Alberta, where she enjoys a thriving practice with the local Chiropractor.

Their journey began when both women shared their view that the presentation of treatment tables did not accurately reflect the quality of care patients were experiencing or the high educational and professional standards of practitioners. Since that time, Maggie and Jana have been on an exhilarating, truly uncontainable journey. Their designs bring a fresh new style to the treatment table that incorporates extreme practicality with a polished professionalism.
